What is a Whitening Serum?
Alpha-Arbutin, contained in Brilliant Xpression, promotes lightening and an even skin tone on all skin types. Arbutin is a skin whitening agent which is very popular in Japan and Asian countries for skin de-pigmentation.
Arbutin, is a Tyrosinase inhibitor, it inactivates Tyrosinase (the enzyme responsible for skin darkening) by chelating with its vital copper ion and acts as a reducing agent on the melanin intermediates, thus blocking the oxidation chain reaction at various points from tyrosine/DOPA to melanin.
Alpha-Arbutin also minimizes liver spots and protects the skin against damage caused by free radicals.
Brilliant Xpression also contains a combination of three new cutting edge ingredients:
Melostatine 5, Biomimetic Peptides & Tyrostats: - Reduces the formation of unwanted pigmentation
allowing for the control over skin tone and brown spots - Leading to clearer complexion and a reduction in skin pigmentation by limiting both melanin production (tan) and skin reddening (erythema)
