What is the Benefit of Red Tea Extracts in Skin Care?
RED TEA comes from the far away mountains of Cape Town, South Africa where it has been used for many centuries by natives there as a major source of nutrients. The healthy effects of the tea are relatively new to Americans, but scientists in South Africa and Japan proved long ago that Rooibos, or RED TEA extract, has many beneficial health effects. The most notable effect is that RED TEA has proven tobe an antioxidant and anti-aging agent. The antioxidant effect can be up to 50 times more potent than that of green tea, due to the high concentrations Super Oxide Dismutase (SOD) that Red Tea contains. SOD is an enzyme that
protects oxidative damage, functioning as a prime scavenger of free radicals and is extremely anti-inflammatory. This is a major key to feeling and looking younger.
As far as the skin is concerned, regular use of RED TEA limits the damaging effect of free radicals, which are responsible for the aging process. Continued use of RED TEA will lessen the appearance of many types of skin imperfections, including fine lines, acne scars, and dark spots resulting in healthier skin.
Many studies show that RED TEA contains some of the most potent protective natural antioxidants known. Most important are Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and Carotene. The combination of these natural antioxidants aids in new skin health after the removal of dead skin cells. This gives the skin a shinier brighter appearance. In addition to these antioxidants, RED TEA also contains Flavonoids, which have traditionally been used to treat various skin and circulatory ailments. RED TEA also has large quantities of alpha-hydroxy acid, currently used in large numbers
of cosmetics to promote healthy skin. Directions: Apply 2-3 drops in the palm o f the hand and apply to face and neck.
